This My Nature Outing project inquires into questions surrounding sustainable design and examines local efforts at the University of Pittburgh. My Nature Outing is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh's John C. Mascaro Center for Sustainable Engineering and the Office of the Provost's Year of Data and Society.
What is sustainable design? What does it do? How does it work? Why is it important? What should we do next? (Can we improve it or scale it up?)
Food pantry is place for people who can't efford food to come and get the food they need.
Pollinator garden are bee houses around capus to help bees
Pollinater gardenBike infrastructure consists of bikelanes, bike shops, and bike trails.
My favorite sustainable design is Thrifsburgh. It helps people who can't go to the mall to shop or to other stores, instead they can to the Thrifsburgh. Thrifsburgh is inportant because it sells cheap effordable clothes. We should expand the Thrifsfsburgh to other locations because it will help people who don't have enough money or can't get to their local mall to get clothes.
